Also, there is a local sea turtle conservatory located just south of the beach. Each evening during nesting season, baby sea turtles are released into the sea. Lastly, Boca de Tomates is known for having great seafood restaurants. Many people claim that the best ceviche and Pescado Sarandeo is at Boca de Tomates.
Playa Colomitos
Last but not least, Playa Colomitos is a lovely tiny beach that is only accessible by boat or from a hiking path. To get there, head to Boca de Tomatlan which is located 20 minute south of downtown Puerto Vallarta. From there, take a quick water taxi or hike south until you reach the beach. The tiny beach is bordered by rocks on each side, so be cautious if you go swimming. Also, plan ahead and reserve a table at Ocean Grill.
