  • Am I Able to Vacation in Mexico?

Mexico is currently open for vacationers. Mexico started welcoming vacationers back on June 1, 2020 after the COVID pandemic started. Since then, hotels, restaurants, and airlines began slowly reopening, too. Garza Blanca Resorts and other businesses have added extra sanitation procedures, so they can provide a safe place for vacationers. Most hotels and resorts have restrictions for occupancy levels, too. Due to the COVID pandemic, many safety procedures have been implemented in order to allow more guests to visit. For example, when guests arrive at Garza Blanca Resorts, they will have to have their temperature checked. All suites go through a deep cleaning and sanitization after each guest. Likewise, the common areas at the resorts are requiring facemasks and social distancing as well.

  • Are Public Beaches Open?

The public beaches are currently open in Mexico, but they do have capacity limits. The capacity limits are based upon COVID cases in that area. Similarly, the beach hours may change as well depending on government recommendations. However, it isn’t hard to follow social distancing at the beaches in Mexico because the country has miles of stunning beaches. The restaurants are open in Mexico, but they have rearranged seating to provide plenty of space between guests. Bars and lounges are allowed to be open if they serve food. Lastly, employees at restaurants and bars are required to wear facemasks, and they are offering takeout and delivery services, too.

  • Safety at Airports and Airlines

Added safety procedures have been implemented at the airports and airlines in Mexico. At this time, Mexico isn’t requiring visitors to bring any medical reports with them on a vacation to Mexico. However, you will be required to have your temperature checked, then fill out a questionnaire. Remember, if you are sick, please don’t try to travel. Recently, there have been new requirements for travelers leaving Mexico which include a negative COVID test upon checking in at the airport. All vacationers returning to the United States must provide a negative antigen COVID test. Similarly, Canada is requiring a negative PCR test before entering their country, too. The airports in Mexico require facemasks and social distancing and during flights all passengers are required to wear facemasks.
