Blanca Blue Restaurant at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta was presented with The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS) International Star Diamond Award 2013 for the second year.
Garza Blanca’s gourmet restaurant, Blanca Blue, with its chic lounge, bar and award-winning wine cellar was once again successful in securing the coveted international award that is no easy feat to achieve. The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences established in 1949 in Chicago grants International Star Diamond Awards to hospitality institutions it deems consistently meet its range of criteria. Impartial reviewers arrive to the institutions they assess unannounced taking into consideration various areas such as cuisine, hospitality, operation and ambience.
AAHS is presided over by a group of world renowned trustees who ensure that the decisions of industry professionals and world travelers are fair and reflect the high standards for which the award is famed. Hotels, restaurants and airlines are just some of the hospitality services that are considered by AAHS for its International Star Diamond Award.
Not only does an establishment need to meet AAHS’s standards, but moreover, they have to maintain those standards on a consistent basis. Therefore the Chef, Fernando Pulido and staff at Blanca Blue restaurant at Garza Blanca were delighted to receive the award in a small ceremony held at the restaurant. The symbol of excellence in the form of a plaque is on display in the restaurant’s wine cellar for all to see.
Guests and timeshare members at Garza Blanca can try the gourmet cuisine at Garza Blanca on an all inclusive or European Plan and visitors from other hotels may also dine at the celebrated venue. The restaurant has one of the most beautiful views of Banderas Bay and diners may choose to eat on the terrace that is surrounded by flame-torches that light up the sky like a magical tropical dream.
